A Moroccan national was arrested in 2016 as part of an operation against jihadist terrorism. He spent almost three years in solitary confinement at Zuera prison (Zaragoza). It was in this case that it was alleged that the extreme isolation caused him a severe disability, leaving him wheelchair-bound and with severe cognitive problems upon his release without charges.
