Investigation into torture and human rights violations
We study contemporary torture and other human rights violations related to our work.
We investigate violence and its consequences.
What we investigate
Our research work analyzes torture and other forms of violence from a psychological and psychosocial perspective.
We analyze both the mechanisms of violence and its consequences for individuals and communities, with the aim of contributing to scientific knowledge and the development of intervention and documentation tools.
We investigate contemporary torture and other human rights violations from a psychological and psychosocial perspective.
Research objectives
Our research work combines theoretical development and applied analysis to understand torture and other human rights violations, as well as their impacts on individuals and communities.
Based on this approach, we organized our research around three main objectives:
- To develop a contemporary conceptualization of torture and other human rights violations from psychological and psychosocial perspectives.
- Promote tools for assessing the impact of traumatic experiences, especially in contexts of torture and torturous environments.
- Conduct applied research on human rights violations and their individual and collective impacts.
