We provide therapeutic care to individuals affected by political violence and produce expert reports as tools for defense and advocacy. We specialize in documenting cases of mistreatment and torture using the Istanbul Protocol.
Forensic Assessment
We conduct forensic, medical, and psychological assessments, always ensuring the well-being of individuals throughout the legal process. We specialize in applying the Istanbul Protocol, the international guide for the legal and forensic documentation of alleged cases of abuse or torture. We prepare expert reports for criminal proceedings, complaints, or defense cases related to incidents of assault, mistreatment, or institutional violence.
Therapeutic Attention
Our center provides specialized therapeutic care to survivors of trauma, crisis, or grief experiences, from a psychosocial, transcultural, systemic, and gender perspective. We also offer Trauma Bodywork Therapies based on Mindfulness, Yoga and Art Therapy.
Research
From the perspectives of medicine and psychology, we study the contemporary concept of torture and investigate other human rights violations related to our work. We research violence and its consequences. We seek to share our research. We aim to generate new perspectives and theoretical developments.
Training programs
How can we use the Istanbul Protocol for the documentation and investigation of torture cases? How can we develop and enhance our reports to support the International Protection application? How can we assist individuals from a psychosocial perspective? Why don't we collectively conduct a critical analysis of our intervention?

Sira provides educational spaces for groups and organizations interested in supporting individuals who are victims of abuse or torture.
